Hello Liz,

Keeping clear records can help your business

You must keep adequate business and accounting records.

You will need these to send HMRC an accurate Company Tax Return and work out your Corporation Tax payment.

If your records are not completed correctly, your business could end up paying more tax than you owe.

Well organised and up-to-date records will give you the information to manage your business and help it grow.

More detailed information about records, what to keep and for how long can be found at: www.gov.uk/running-a-limited-company/company-and-accounting-records

Look out for our next email on preparing for your Company Tax Return.
