2 positions fixed term  6 months & 12 months  

The Business Analyst will play a leading role in formulating, directing and supporting delivery of business change initiatives undertaken by the Change & Improvement Team.

You will work in partnership with senior managers, deploying expert business analysis skill and broad business knowledge to create solutions that provide significant business benefit. You will be instrumental in shaping the structure of business change, remaining engaged throughout development and implementation to manage requirements change, validate the solution and prepare the business for implementation.

You may work on independent or project assignments working in partnership with other senior members of the project team and work stream leads. You will need to influence and broker solutions with senior stakeholders, including members of the Senior Management Team.

You will analyse, quantify and document business processes and support teams to model options for the future, to ensure that business processes continually develop and improve quality and value for money to their customers. You will promote the capabilities of the Business Analysis and Data Analytics team and individuals to the business to ensure the maximum skills and value can be extracted.


a)    In depth knowledge of business process analysis and design techniques, including the use of modelling and collaborative tools with the ability to select the appropriate approach for a particular assignment. Knowledge of how to map service activity data to financial information and system requirement.

b)    Able to identify critical issues with ease and push creative thinking beyond existing boundaries and client mindsets.

c)    Experience of formal project management techniques, such as Prince2 plus associated tools and processes, including planning and estimating. Ability to assimilate complex information quickly and make decisions in an objective manner.

d)    Experience of the application of standard business process analysis techniques to capturing, quantifying and documenting business processes to a high standard.

e)    Experience of delivering complex project on time, to budget and to quality

f)      Solution focussed with a recognition of business constraints, ambitions and operational objectives in area of assignment.

g)    Experience of developing business cases for large complex business change projects, including financial and numerical modelling and appraisal skills.
h) Demonstrate excellent communication, presentation and written skills, with relevant experience of dealing with senior managers, business managers and third parties.  Able to develop and sustain excellent client relationships that foster and enhance client ties.
