We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and motivated Senior Practitioner/Occupational Therapist with extensive experience of working in a local authority environment.

The post of Senior Practitioner is to lead the Enablement Gateway team and offers the opportunity to work closely with Health colleagues in developing an integrated service provision within Nottingham city. You will be responsible for the supervision of Community Care Officer (Occupational Therapy) staff and will receive support from the Team Manager for OT and Enablement and from Senior Practitioner OT colleagues within the council. You will work as an integral part of the OT service and will take an active role in developing and supporting staff across the service.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:

Substantial experience as an Occupational Therapy practitioner with disabled people and families/Carers across a range of functions, including assessment, provision of equipment and major adaptations.

Thorough knowledge of the relevant legislation pertaining to Occupational Therapy in respect of health and social care including; equipment, adaptations, housing, and safeguarding.

Diploma / Degree in Occupational Therapy.

Ability to analyse information in order to assess needs and strengths, leading to appropriate case plans.
