ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:

You will be a qualified professional (CQSW, DipSW, CSS) with HCPC registration, have completed your NQSW year and be experienced in working with children and families.

Proven experience of court work, as well as undertaking in-depth assessments, preparing high quality reports and presenting them in a formal setting is required as is your ability to manage child protection cases.

Possession of a full driving licence, access to a vehicle and willingness to travel both inside and outside the council area as required is needed .An enhanced DBS check will also be required.

An immediate requirement has arisen for a Highway Inspector to join Nottingham City Council's Highway Maintenance team on a permanent basis.
The postholder will be responsible for undertaking safety inspections of the highway in line with Nottingham City Council's Highway Safety Inspection Manual.  
To qualify for this post you must be NRSWA Qualified  andLANTRA or C & G Accredited Highways Inspector.


Reporting to the Highway Maintenance Manager, the post holder will:

Undertake daily inspections of the highway, network reporting safety defects in line with the Highway Safety Inspection Manual.  
Be responsible for ensuring highway defects are prioritised, logged and entered to ensure defects are responded to in a timely and safe manner.
Identify areas of the highway network that do not represent a safety defect but could include in future capital programmes.
Adhere to and contribute to the continual development of the Highway Safety Inspection Manual
Attend and positively contribute to team meetings as directed the Inspections Manager
Work with other parties to support the defence of claims made by third parties for injury or damage including giving evidence in court
Undertake other reasonable works commensurate with the role as instructed by the line
manager

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

- Holder of a Full UK Drivers Licence

- Proficient IT skills - particularly Microsoft suite and order management databases

 -Good communication both verbal and written with a strong level of literacy and numeracy

 -Strong people skills, able to work with others as part as a small team

The post holder will work as part of a team to maintain, repair and construct roads and associated paved areas.

To qualify for this post you must be able to drive vehicles over 7.5 tonnes.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS

1. You must have a Full UK driving licence (Category C licence);

2. Relevant levels of experience using highway construction equipment;

3. Basic understanding of highways and construction work;

4. Able to work as part of a team and on your own initiative.

The Operations Officer role within the Parking Team is to provide an effective and efficient parking service at the City Council operated car parks and across the on-street parking provision within the city whilst also providing and maintain a mobile support service from the central parking hub at Trinity Square through the monitoring and operating of all parking equipment, responding to needs at multiple locations to ensure ongoing continuity of service.

- CPCS / NPORS certified to operate a Wheeled Excavator (above 10 tonne) i.e. JCB 3X. You must hold a current card;

- Relevant levels of experience using highway construction equipment;

- Basic understanding of highways and construction work.
