Cycle City Ambition Launch Event

The Nottingham Cycle City Ambition Programme is being launched on 21st May 2015 at Nottingham Trent Universitys Chaucer Building.

The event will be an opportunity to see how the Council will invest the recently awarded  6.1m Growth Fund, matched by the Council with a further 3.28m, to improve the citys cycle infrastructure over the next two years.

The event will also provide an overview of our Vision for Cycling, a ten point plan of how we and our partners will Cycle Proof Nottingham, and an insight in to how we will be focusing on all user groups and network types from commuter cycle corridors to quiet routes on residential roads, alongside leisure routes through our award winning parks and green spaces.

The drop in evening will commence at 5.30pm and close at 8pm, with a number of short presentations from 6.00pm allowing ample time to explore the numerous displays and exhibitions providing detail about the above. This also allows everyone an opportunity to ask questions about our proposals and the fantastic work we are planning with our cycling partners.
