This post is funded for 12 months and is a P/T position - 24 hours.

JOB SUMMARY:

The post will be held within the SHARP (Self-harm Awareness & Resource Project) Team and the focus of the work will be supporting children and young people who present with self-harm and/or suicidal behaviours.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Support children and young people through individual therapeutic work and also group work.

• Complete self-harm risk assessments and identify appropriate interventions which will help reduce self-harm.

• Support other front-line health services using a creative approach to help increase engagement of children and young people who self-harm.

• Support SHARP Practitioners in the delivery of monthly school SHARP Clinics.

This is an exciting opportunity to work within the Council’s Early Intervention directorate.  Working flexibly as part of multi-disciplinary team, you will play a key role in helping to embed a modern commissioning approach to ensure that our resources are used in the most efficient, effective and sustainable way to improve outcomes for Nottingham’s citizens.

This critical Principal Analyst position will play a key role in supporting the Children’s and Adults agenda (principally working on the Adults agenda, in the first instance) through creating insight, analysis and performance reports to drive service improvement. You will also proactively support the development of new performance management frameworks driven by national policy and the government’s move towards more outcome focussed performance indicators.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

 -  You will have knowledge and proven experience of using and developing a range of business intelligence tools e.g. SQL, Access and Excel to support advanced performance reporting requirements.
 -  You will be adept at analysing, interpreting and communicating complex written and statistical data in a variety of formats.  
 -  You will have experience of designing frameworks for capturing more qualitative data and measuring outcomes. -  You will have an enquiring mind, be an effective communicator and be passionate about using data and information to make a difference to outcomes for Children, Young People and Adults.
