To perform statutory functions in the registration of births, deaths, still-births, marriages and civil partnerships and non-statutory functions such as change of name deeds, Citizenship services and Nationality Checking Services.

Work is as a Casual Officer to support the Registration Service colleagues which will include weekend working as and when required. Registration training will be provided on the job. Registrations are mainly based at The Council House, The City Hospital (Registrar’s Office) or the Queens Medical Centre (Registrar’s Office) but other locations from time to time within the City of Nottingham should be expected.


The applicant will need to have the confidence to work alone and out of hours to make decisions and uphold Registration Law and to correctly comply with Registration Statute.

Proven successful office experience & able to produce accurate, neat & clear work.

Confident ability to learn and apply complex regulations & procedures and work on own initiative.

Able to demonstrate keyboard skills and a confident ability to use a variety of software packages.

Ability to deal with customers with tact, discretion & understanding & able to deal with challenging & disruptive behaviour.
