Castle Boulevard and Peveril Drive works

Preparatory works are set to begin to build the 'cycle super highway' offering cyclists a route designed to the highest specification.

The works will involve some temporary traffic management changes and changes to the road and pavement layout.

Works will begin on Monday the 19th October and are set to last until 11th November.

For more information please download the leaflet.

Removal of Cycle lane on Castle Boulevard

To enable the works to be carried out on Castle Boulevard the Northern cycle lane and related lining will be removed on Monday the 19th October and will remain removed until the works have been completed next year when the new cycle super highway will be in place.

Cyclists can either continue to use the road or can find an alternative quite route by visiting our online cycle map or alternatively if you email we can send you a free hard copy in the post.

Sherwin Road works

On Monday 28th September works began on Phase 1 (North Side) of the Sherwin Road area works as part of the Western Cycle Corridor construction.

The works are split into two sections (North and South) and will take 12 weeks to complete.

Unfortunately it will be necessary to suspend residents parking on Sherwin Road at all times for the duration of the works.
