Nottingham City Council is nationally recognised for their award winning Employee Benefits scheme (Works Perks). As the Reward Facilitator you will be integral to administering the scheme, growing the agenda and building on the excellent work to date.

Working with a broad range of stakeholders you will ensure that reward plays a key role to attraction, recruitment, development and retention of a diverse workforce. An eye for detail is essential, as is the ability to undertake data analysis, identifying trends and cost benefits and presenting this in a range of formats.

You will lead the ongoing development of a reward communication and engagement plan, working with key partners to optimise scheme uptake and achieve stretching savings targets.

Part of the broader Resourcing and Reward Team, you will be a team player, who is self-motivated and driven. Working closely with the Resourcing and Reward Consultant, an understanding of the importance of reward and recognition and employee benefits would be advantageous as would the ability to acquire new skills and knowledge.

To provide Cisco voice and data support to the IT user community and the complex corporate network, processing requests for support, co-ordinating resolution with appropriate functions, suppliers and ensuring planned network administration tasks are completed to schedule.

Ensuring the planning, development and management of the Cisco Voice and Data Service is in line with corporate standards.

Ensuring that good practices, quality of documentation, high standards of operational effectiveness are implemented.

Networks projects management and implementation.


1. Cisco Network Certified with good networking knowledge on CCNA, CCNP or equivalent Network training with working experience in technical or networking support environment particularly on CISCO routers and switches.

2. Broad knowledge of IT service management frameworks, such as ITIL. In particular, good working knowledge of Change Management.

3. Knowledge of IT security standards and Data Protection Act.

4. Demonstrable experience of working on complex projects with competing demands, and supporting large application-critical networks.

5. Experience of carrying out routine configuration/installation and reconfiguration of switches and routers. Provide customers with information on updates, known errors, changes in availability, new facilities etc.

6. Demonstrable experience of working on converged network support, implementation of wireless solutions and Cisco VoIP technology.

With annual audiences of over half a million people, Nottingham Theatre Royal (1200 seats) & Royal Concert Hall (2,400 seats) is the major Arts and Entertainment facility for the East Midlands, and one of the most successful in the country. 2016 will see a major capital redevelopment project commence which will further enhance the organisation’s growing reputation.  

The newly created position of Business Performance Director will be ideal for a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual who will create, implement and monitor the Theatre Royal & Royal Concert Hall’s annual budget, whilst establishing and leading on the business management and financial administration of an organisation with a turnover of c£14 million. They will also be responsible for managing, monitoring and auditing the Theatre Royal & Royal Concert Hall’s management team’s operation of their departmental budgets. Significant experience of working within an Arts & Entertainment organisation is essential.

The successful candidate will have a strong financial, commercial & strategic business development background, with an ability to communicate with a wide range of individuals and organisations. They will have excellent negotiation skills and a keen eye for attention to detail. The ability to work as part of a team and individually will also be key, as will the ability to multi-task whilst working on numerous projects with strict deadlines.

Fixed Term for 12 months

a) Accountable for the implementation of Cisco voice and data systems and ensuring that the upgrade and maintenance processes for them are consistently and rigorously applied; to manage the voice and data portfolio according to IT service management principles, such as ITIL.

b) Take responsibility for implementing standard operating procedures for the voice and data portfolio including implementation of a knowledgebase and supporting documentation; to be responsible for maintaining financial information associated with the voice and data portfolio and for contributing to the development of business case related to changes to the portfolio.

c) Undertake a constant review of the voice and data portfolio including rationalising existing voice and data equipment or proposing new solutions, underpinned by business cases; to take ownership of supplier engagement for the voice and data portfolio and ensure appropriate processes are in place, including the development and management of a forward procurement plan.

d) Support and maintain voice and data solutions, implement testing and improvements for voice and data infrastructure solutions and identify and develop skills required to support the voice and data infrastructure.

e) Take a leading role in the decision making process whether for voice and data infrastructure requirements and their associated server infrastructure components; to assist in the design and deployment of voice and data and applications solutions and ensure effective coordination with other IT Service functions, particularly Change, Configuration and Release.

f) Proactively implement and embed IT service management good practice, such as the ITIL Framework, in all areas of work and ensure that positive contributions to all parts of the IT service management lifecycle are made at all times.

g) Responsible for Cisco and other network technology activities, ensuring that business continuity options are developed, maintained and tested.

h) Ensure that major projects including planned developments and implementations are effectively communicated to and promoted to customers, and that the Server Infrastructure, project and Application Support teams have the necessary support, skills, and knowledge to underpin the overall service delivered to the front line customer services.


a) Enterprise level Cisco voice and data and application support skills including extensive knowledge of managing corporate Cisco voice and data portfolios end to end. Extensive knowledge of the end to end lifecycle for Cisco voice and data systems and the interrelationships with other IT functions within an IT service management framework, such as ITIL.

b) Strong business analysis skills and experience, including development of business vision and strategies, functional decomposition, requirements capture, process modelling.

c) Knowledge of recognised project management tools as applied to the management of a suite of voice and data products. Accreditation in one or more of the following: CCNP or CCIE.

d) Experience of providing the technical lead on voice and data and systems administration functions in an IT environment. Experience as a senior voice and data specialist with the ability to create, install and recover voice and data systems in a datacentre environment.

e) Experience of working within IT security standards and data protection legislation; Working experience of creating and supporting business continuity environments, documenting recovery options and testing policies and procedures related to DR.

f) Able to manage and coordinate the support activities of multiple teams and individuals.

g) Ability to lead projects and promote and maintain the trust and confidence of stakeholders in delivering change to positively impact on outcomes.
