Are you passionate about data and want to create actionable insight to drive improvements?

We have an exciting opportunity for a Principal Performance Analyst to join our Analysis & Insight team. This post will primarily support the Adults Social Care directorate and falls at an exciting time of change for the health and social care agenda - nationally and within Nottingham.

The role will require you to use your excellent analytical and technical skills to provide bespoke analysis to the business which will allow them to understand and evaluate the effectiveness of their services. Working flexibly as part of a customer focused team, you will play a key role in creating insight, analysis and performance reports to drive service improvement.  You will be proactive in developing and delivering a suite of intelligence products that draw upon a range of analytical, performance and demographic information to enable the service to make timely, efficient commissioning and operational decisions.

You will have knowledge and proven experience of using and developing a range of business intelligence tools e.g. SQL, SSRS, Access and Excel to support advanced performance reporting requirements. You will be adept at analysing, interpreting and communicating complex written and statistical data in a variety of formats and will have experience of designing frameworks for capturing more qualitative data and measuring outcomes. We need you to have an enquiring mind, be an effective communicator and be passionate about using data and information to make a difference to outcomes for our citizens.

Fixed Term up to 12 months maternity cover

To ensure the delivery of appropriate services to disabled children and their families, according to their assessed needs. This will include assessing the needs of disabled children and their families against the Departments agreed threshold criteria and in accordance with National Guidance with set timescales, the creation and implementation of culturally appropriate care plans that demonstrate flexibility and innovative use of resources. To lead on safeguarding investigations in the most complex cases and where there are multiple incidents.

To take part in team duty systems providing an immediate and responsive service as the need arises in emergency work. To represent the Authority in court routinely, providing reports and acting as the lead witness and providing support to less experienced colleagues and witnesses as required.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:

Direct experience as fieldwork practitioner in a child care setting.
Understanding of the Department’s responsibilities to disabled children who are looked after and/or on the child Protection register. Understanding of the reasons why successful partnership working is critical to good outcomes for disabled children. Ability to take initiative when immediate action is needed.

18.5 hours per week - Flexibility around days worked
