Today's Forecast

Cloudy with spells of light to moderate rain arriving from the west during mid-afternoon. The rain will ease during the evening, becoming light and patchy before dying out altogether by midnight. Staying cloudy overnight, and despite the lack of rain, it will remain quite damp with a risk of some mist and fog patches, mainly over the highest routes. Road Surface Temperatures (RSTs) will remain above freezing. Further rain will spread in from the west during Friday morning, which may be heavy at times.

Outlook for the next four days (forecasts run from midday to midday)

Cloudy with light patchy rain or drizzle for much of the afternoon, but turning dry with some clear spells developing by the evening. Dry with clear spells through the night. Dry with sunny spells for the start of Saturday morning, but perhaps turning cloudy with moderate to heavy rain by the end of the morning. Rather breezy during Friday, but the winds becoming light overnight. It will turn windy during Saturday morning with a risk of strong south-westerly gusts by the end of the morning. RST's staying above freezing.

Windy and wet on Saturday afternoon with moderate to heavy rain and strong south-westerly gusts. The cloud and rain should clear through the evening to give a dry night with clear spells and lighter winds. The morning should start dry with sunny spells, but it may turn cloudy and windy with a risk of rain towards the end of the morning. The morning should be cooler than on previous days, but RST's are still expected to stay above freezing.

It should be mild and unsettled still through the period of Sunday to Tuesday with spells of wet and windy weather. Strong west to south-westerly winds are possible on Monday and/or Tuesday. RST's staying above freezing throughout.
