Today's Forecast

This afternoon will be cloudy and windy with outbreaks of rain. Some heavy rain is possible for a time before clearing to the east by around 1600 hours. Some further scattered showers are possible through the rest of the afternoon and evening, and it will become very windy. Gales, and possibly severe gales, can be expected this evening with gusts of 50-60mph likely and a risk of up to 70mph. The strongest winds can be expected between 1900 - 2400 hours. It will then be largely dry overnight with lighter winds and variable cloud, however Road Surface Temperatures (RSTs) will stay above freezing. It will become cloudier and breezier through Wednesday morning.

Wednesday

Cloudy and windy with rain, heavy at times, quickly moving eastwards by 1500. Following behind winds will remain strong, even touching gale gale force at times over higher routes, with scattered blustery showers. Into Thursday morning the winds will tend to ease but it will remain fairly cloudy with the odd shower possible. Mild with RSTs remaining above freezing.

Thursday

Fairly cloudy on Thursday afternoon with some brighter spells, but also a few showers possible. Overnight remaining cloudy with only moderate winds which become gradually more northerly into Friday morning with the odd wintry shower possible. RSTs may be lower than of late but still remain above freezing.

Fairly cloudy on Thursday afternoon with some brighter spells, but also a few showers possible. Overnight remaining cloudy with only moderate winds which become gradually more northerly into Friday morning with the odd wintry shower possible.
