Today's Forecast

Dry with sunny spells and gentle to moderate northerly winds this afternoon. Dry with lengthy clear spells this evening and overnight, allowing Road Surface Temperatures (RST's) to fall widely below freezing, leading to a risk of a widespread hoar frost. Dry with sunny spells on Monday morning. Light winds overnight and for Monday morning. Minimum RSTs minus 3

 

Outlook for the next four days (forecasts run from midday to midday)
Monday

Partly cloudy with some sunshine at first on Monday afternoon. Gradually turning cloudier from the northwest with strengthening winds and outbreaks of rain spreading southeast during the evening and overnight period. Rain clearing towards the end of the night with clear spells developing towards dawn, however RSTs are expected to remain a few degrees above freezing. Turning breezy on Tuesday morning with scattered showers developing. Minimum RSTs plus 3.

Tuesday

Breezy and cool, with sunshine and showers on Tuesday afternoon. Rather cloudy and mild with further showers overnight, potentially heavy and organised. Showers becoming more isolated on Wednesday morning with good spells of sunshine developing. Minimum RSTs plus 3.

Thursday

Cool, sunny and dry with a few mainly light showers during the afternoon. Becoming dry overnight with long clear spells and a moderate northwesterly breeze. RSTs falling close or just below freezing with a risk of frost and patchy ice developing. Minimum RSTs zero. Dry, with good spells of sunshine on Thursday morning. Dry and still rather cool, with bright or sunny spells on Thursday afternoon. Then becoming cloudier and milder overnight with outbreaks of rain and/or drizzle spreading east. Turning breezier and progressively milder with variable, but often large amounts of cloud on Friday morning. Minimum RSTs plus 7.
