Get involved - Festive Lighting

Nottingham City Council provides lighting decorations across the City for a variety of festivities, such as Christmas and Diwali. The decorations need to be replaced on a regular basis as they reach the end of their useful life, go beyond repair or are damaged due to bad weather. In addition to this, the areas of the City that receive festive lighting are sometimes updated which means that extra purchases sometimes need to be made.

The Council plans to create a catalogue of designs for Area Committees across the city to select from when purchasing new festive lighting. The catalogue will include a variety of different types of lighting from suppliers across the country. In order to generate a catalogue of designs, a Procurement Process must be carried out to ensure that the best suppliers are fairly selected.

We would like your opinion on the various designs that will be submitted and evaluated as part of this process.

We will be asking you to vote for your preferred festive lighting designs. The result of this consultation will contribute towards the selection of the suppliers from which lighting will be purchased for up to the next 4 years. You will need to be available to attend a training session where the process will be explained in more detail and any questions can be asked. You will also need to attend a separate marking session where you will vote for your preferred designs.

You will need to be available on the following dates:
