Today's Forecast

Generally cloudy during Sunday afternoon with strong winds and outbreaks of rain from around 1300hrs, locally moderate for a time. Widespread gusts of 35-45mph are expected this afternoon, through in some more exposed areas they could be higher. Rain generally easing by 1600hrs this evening, but a few showers are still possible until around 2100hrs, with good clear spells developing. Winds easing overnight, though still remaining breezy. RSTs falling close to, but expected to remain above freezing. Cloud and rain are expected to return to the area from around 0500hrs on Monday, with winds strengthening once again

Outlook for the next four days (forecasts run from midday to midday)
Monday Cloudy with outbreaks of rain at times during the day, becoming rather patchy later in the day and overnight. Remaining mild overnight with RSTs staying above freezing. A windy day again, with gales at times, especially in exposed locations. Winds again easing overnight.

A cloudy start to Tuesday with outbreaks of rain across the network at times. Remaining in the mild airmass through the evening and overnight with plenty of cloud and perhaps some patchy rain or drizzle. RSTs will remain above freezing again. Remaining rather breezy through the day, especially overnight into Wednesday.

Wednesday: Another cloudy day with further outbreaks of rain and drizzle during the day. A band of rain will spread across the region from the west during the evening and overnight which will help RSTs to remain above freezing again.

Thursday: A band of cloud and rain will affect the region at first during Thursday. This will gradually clear southeast during the evening to give clear spells and scattered showers overnight. Risk of RSTs falling below freezing later in the night.
