Today's Forecast

Rather cloudy with isolated showers this afternoon. By 1800 showers are likely to increase in frequency with one or two more moderate outbreaks. Showers are likely to remain scattered overnight though where any clearer spells develop mist or fog patches may form. RSTs expected to remain above freezing. Becoming drier during Wednesday morning.

Outlook for the next four days (forecasts run from midday to midday)
Wednesday Wednesday: A fine and dry day is expected, with a mixture of patchy cloud and sunny spells along with light winds. However these winds will strengthen ahead of a band of rain arriving from the west just after midnight. This rain band will clear eastwards by dawn, with clearer and drier conditions following. This will allow for a late dip in RSTs which will drop very close to freezing in places early on Thursday morning.

Thursday: Mostly dry with sunny spells through the afternoon, although there is a risk of a few isolated showers. Overnight the risk of isolated showers will continue, and also clear spells at times will allow RSTs to fall just below freezing, bringing a risk of frost and ice

Friday and Saturday: Another generally fine day follows on Friday, with winds also remaining light, although one or two showers are still possible. With clearer spells again overnight, RSTs are likely to fall close to freezing. The risk of showers will continue though Saturday, and these showers could possibly merge into longer spells of rain, possibly heavy, at times. Isolated showers and clear spells overnight will result in RSTs falling very close to freezing.

Please Note: The colour code used for the headings for these forecast refer to the weather forecast and not the need to grit.
