To participate on an out of hours rota to provide the statutory social work provision in respect of children and families, adults and mental health services. This includes children and adults safeguarding and undertaking formal assessments under the Mental Health Act. The EDT worker will be able to retrieve and input information onto the City Council’s IT systems, and share data with other internal and external agencies/teams as required.. Whilst most of the work can be completed by telephone, there is an expectation that visits will be undertaken when necessary. The successful applicant must be able to work autonomously and must also have a strong team work ethic. Off site management support is available.


- Two years post qualification experience in children’s duty.

- AMHP qualification desirable - willingness to undertake AMHP training at earliest opportunity.

- Experience of out of hours working.

- Flexible and responsive worker

This post requires an enhanced DBS Check with Children’s Barring List Check (regulated activity with Children)
