Today's Forecast

Mist thinner in the afternoon with some hazy brighter spells likely. Dry with light winds in the evening and mist perhaps thickening to fog or freezing fog, but visibility most likely above 200m. RSTs dipping below zero, but again varying amounts of cloud and formation of fog likely to cause fluctuations in RST and some may rise and dip above and below zero in response to these variations. Thursday morning mist or fog gradually clearing with some brightness likely. Minimum RSTs minus 3.

Outlook for the next four days (forecasts run from midday to midday)

It will be dry through Thursday afternoon with a few sunny intervals possible. The dry theme will continue for most of the night, but towards dawn outbreaks of rain and strong winds will spread from the west. This rain will then persist through Friday morning, but the winds will gradually ease.

The rain will clear to sunny spells by mid Friday afternoon, and it will remain dry with variable amounts of cloud overnight. Saturday morning will be dry but it will become increasingly breezy.

Saturday: Dry with sunny intervals but breezy on Saturday afternoon. Overnight outbreaks of rain will spread from the west, but these will clear to sunny intervals on Sunday morning.

Sunday: It will be mainly dry with sunny intervals on Sunday afternoon, then overnight conditions will remain largely the same. Rain will spread from the west late on Monday morning.

Please Note: The colour code used for the headings for these forecast refer to the weather forecast and not the need to grit.

RED - The weather will cause road surface temperatures (RSTs) to fall or stay below zero.
AMBER - The weather may cause road surface temperatures (RSTs) to fall below zero.
