High quality affordable homes set to be built in The Meadows

Nottingham City Council has selected nationally renowned developer Keepmoat to create over 100 new affordable homes in The Meadows.

The homes, which are set to be built on council land will be delivered as part of the councils plan to build 2,500 new affordable homes to rent or buy over the next four years.

Schools urged to sign charter to teach children about sex and relationships

Nottingham City Council has produced a charter on sex education and is calling on all schools to sign up.

The authoritys Sex and Relationships Education (SRE) Charter outlines the requirements for lifelong-learning about the emotional, social and physical aspects of growing up and sexual health. It calls for age-appropriate SRE for children at primary age right through to teenagers.

Young Creative Awards 2016 entries open

Entries are now open for the Young Creative Awards 2016.

The Nottingham Young Creative Awards 2016 give young people the chance to show off their creative work, network with future employers and gain valuable industry experience and mentoring.

The theme this year is Goals and Dreams. Judges want young people, aged 13 to 24 who live, study or work in Nottingham to let their imaginations flow and enter pieces of work that reflect their aspirations for themselves and Nottingham.
