Today's Forecast

A generally cloudy afternoon but with some breaks at times giving some sunshine. Remaining fairly cloudy after sunset but from around 2100 some good clear breaks will develop. These breaks will allow RSTs to fall below freezing with the risk of a hoar frost and icy patches developing on damp surfaces. A bright start on Saturday morning but the odd light shower is possible.

Outlook for the next four days (forecasts run from midday to midday)

It will be largely dry on Saturday afternoon with some sunny intervals. Overnight there will be some clear spells, however some rain, sleet or snow showers are likely to spread in from the east. On Sunday morning the showers will turn heavier at times, and may give some temporary snow accumulations.

Sunny intervals but also sleet or snow showers on Sunday afternoon, some of which could be heavy with temporary accumulations. Overnight the showers will continue with again a risk of some accumulations. Remaining similar on Monday morning.

Monday: There will be further sleet or snow showers on Monday afternoon, but overnight these should largely die out, with Tuesday morning then dry with lengthy sunny spells.

Tuesday: Dry with sunny spells on Tuesday afternoon, then clear and cold overnight. Cloud will increase on Wednesday morning but it should remain dry.

Please Note: The colour code used for the headings for these forecast refer to the weather forecast and not the need to grit.
