Today's Forecast

Dry with patchy cloud and sunny spells through this afternoon. Becoming cloudier into the evening, but still allowing RSTs to drop. Outbreaks of light rain likely spreading slowly into the far west through the night. Before turning heavier and more persistent through Wednesday morning, and may increasingly turn sleety over the very highest routes.

Outlook for the next four days (forecasts run from midday to midday)
Wednesday Persistent rain through the first part of the afternoon, though this likely to turn increasingly to snow, even to lower levels as colder air pushes in behind. This should be mainly light and will become patchier through the evening though is likely to continue at times overnight. Where any clearer spells develop, RSTs are likely to fall below freezing and icy patches develop. Wintry outbreaks continuing Thursday morning.

Becoming drier during the afternoon with some brighter spells developing. Clearer skies and light winds overnight allowing RSTs to fall below freezing and frost to develop. Dry and bright Friday morning

Cloud thickening and becoming breezy during Friday afternoon, with outbreaks of rain during the late afternoon, then easing away to the east during the late evening. Drier overnight, though remaining cloudy and breezy. Further outbreaks of rain at times during Saturday, continuing overnight into Sunday. RSTs remaining above freezing both nights
