Nottingham City Council is giving everyone FREE entry to both Nottingham Castle and Newstead Abbey! Don't miss your chance to visit for free on Sunday 17 April.
Many other attractions around Nottinghamshire will also be opening their doors for free on the 17th, including the Galleries of Justice and Newark Air Museum. Full list.

You'll be able to see our exciting plans, ask questions and share your thoughts.
- On Saturday 16 April, meet the Nottingham Castle project
team (including architects Lace Market-based Purcell UK), in the 'Archi-truck', Old Market
Square between 10am - 4pm.
- On Sunday 17 April, meet the project team in the stairwell near the Castle cafe between 10am - 4pm.

Fun activities for everyone on Saturday 23 April
Nottingham is proud to host one of the biggest St George's celebrations in England, and this year it's even bigger and better!
Join us for a fun-packed day from 10.30am - 4.30pm in the Old Market Square, including:
- Combat displays from real knights, plus the chance to talk to them and see their weapons
- Meet St George and Robin Hood
- St George's craft activities for kids - make a dragon puppet or rose
- live music - traditional English folk and brass band
- Mortimer's Morris dancers

 Meet the Sheriff of Nottingham!
Meet Councillor Mohammed Saghir, the current Sheriff of Nottingham as he walks from the Council House to Nottingham Castle.
He'll set out from the Council House along with Nottingham Community Protection Officers at 11.30am, arriving at Nottingham Castle by around 11.45 / 12. Catch the Sheriff on the way for a chat, or to pose for a photo with him, or see him at Nottingham Castle, where he'll be until about 2pm.

Breakin' Convention Tour at Royal Concert Hall

Breakin' Convention is Sadler's Wells' ground breaking festival of hip hop dance theatre featuring a line-up of jaw-dropping performances by companies from around the world and around the corner.
