Today's Forecast

Dry, bright (if not sunny) and breezy this afternoon, the sunshine becoming even hazier later as high cloud increases. During the evening and night the cloud will gradually increase and thicken and the southeasterly wind will slowly strengthen, becoming quite a fresh easterly by tomorrow morning. Some mostly light rain is possible at times from about late evening onwards and into tomorrow but generally it will be dry for much of the time, and some bright spells are expected to develop tomorrow morning.

Outlook for the next four days (forecasts run from midday to midday)
Monday Clouds will thicken through Monday afternoon, with a period of persistent, but mostly light rain expected during the evening and overnight. RSTs will remain above freezing.

Tuesday

Further occasional outbreaks of rain are likely Tuesday afternoon, before clearing north through the day. Sunny spells will then be followed by clear spells overnight, although milder air should ensure RSTs remain above freezing. However the occasional showery outbreak of rain will remain possible, especially by Wednesday morning.

Wednesday

and

Thursday

Further patchy cloud and showery outbreaks of rain will continue during Wednesday and overnight and into Thursday, keeping RSTs above freezing. Little change is then expected on Thursday, with further showery outbreaks of rain, and rather cloudy skies overnight leading to RSTs again remaining above freezing.

Please Note: The colour code used for the headings for these forecast refer to the weather forecast and not the need to grit.

RED - The weather will cause road surface temperatures (RSTs) to fall or stay below zero.
AMBER - The weather may cause road surface temperatures (RSTs) to fall below zero.
GREEN - The weather will not cause road surface temperatures (RSTs) to fall below zero.
