Ring Road scheme complete!

Works on one of Nottinghams busiest roads have now finished.

The 16.2m Ring Road Improvement scheme, which has improved traffic flows and facilities for cyclists and pedestrians, started on July 1 2013, funded with 12.8m from the he Department for Transport and 3.4m from the City Council.

The result of the improvements include new, safer road crossings and cycle facilities at key points along the route, better road surfaces and additional lanes at hot spots to allow vehicles to pass through more easily.

European Mobility Council  Shortlisted

Nottingham shortlisted for European Mobility Week Award

Nottingham is one of ten authorities across Europe shortlisted for a prestigious European Union award for encouraging people to choose greener ways to travel.

The winner of the European Mobility Week Award 2015 will be announced at an award ceremony on April 20 in Brussels, Belgium. The award focuses on local authority activities to coax drivers out of their privately owned cars into more sustainable types of transport public transport, bikes and walking.
