Today's Forecast

Showers will continue through the afternoon and evening, with a low risk of some hail at times. These will gradually ease by around midnight, with clearer spells developing. With winds also easing, RSTs could fall below freezing for a couple of hours before dawn. A bright start to Saturday, will lead to temperatures soon recovering after dawn, however further showers, with a risk of hail, will spread in from the west through the morning.

Outlook for the next four days (forecasts run from midday to midday)

Saturday afternoon will be bright and warmer with isolated showers dying out later in the afternoon. The night will be clear and dry and RSTs will drop quickly. However, cloud will build up late in the night, keeping the RSTs above freezing. Into Sunday morning it will stay dry and increasingly cloudy.

It will turn cloudier and breezier with rain at times on Sunday afternoon. The rain will clear in the evening but more rain will affect the area late on Monday morning. Wind and rain will clear the area in the afternoon on Monday, though a few showers will follow. Overnight into Tuesday it will be largely dry and cloudy. RSTs will stay well above zero throughout.

The bank holiday afternoon is expected to start wet and very windy. The persistent rain will clear late in the afternoon but some rain showers are likely later on, which could be heavy. The showers will clear overnight but it will stay windy. RSTs will be well above freezing. Tuesday wil be mainly dry and breezy with sunny periods. Tuesday night will be mild, dry and windy. RSTs will stay well above freezing throughout.
