Co-ordinate, plan and recruit a selection of foster carers through fostering events and information evenings.

Develop and implement quality assurance systems in order to quality assure the standard of assessments for Fostering Panel.

Ensure professional practice is within the Fostering National Minimum Standards and that these are upheld and maintained at all times.

Provide line management and professional supervision to a team of Social Workers.

Monitor the quality and performance of the team working with foster carers, and foster carers families caring for the children in foster care.

Demonstrate good effective leadership and motivational skills, ensuring good communication within the service and promote a culture of continuous improvement and service user focus that delivers good outcomes for children.

Be responsible for providing the regular monitoring reports on the performance of the service

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:

Chairing Meetings.

Conflict Resolution (Complaints, Disciplinarians, Service Users, Mediation).

Assessing needs of children and families.

Manage risk in relation to Child Protection.

We require Streetscene operatives (on a 6 month fixed term contract) to provide a range of gardening, grounds maintenance, refuse, recycling and cleansing duties throughout the City in order to maintain the environment, buildings and facilities which make Nottingham the cleanest city.

To operate flexibly across a range of frontline services depending on service needs. This will include street cleaning, grounds maintenance, refuse collection, recycling and other Neighbourhood Services such as support to highways services during inclement weather to achieve our public realm duties.

To deliver a safe, efficient and effective operational service to create a clean, safe and green environment delivered through Neighbourhood Services.

Essential Requirements

Knowledge and experience of grounds maintenance

Have a flexible attitude to work and be prepared to work shifts, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and public bank holidays in any area of the city

Knowledge of the safe operation of a range of hand and powered tools. Weed spraying qualifications would be advantageous

Knowledge of general gardening techniques including grass and border maintenance

Full Driving Licence

Knowledge of the safe operation of vehicles up to and including 7.5 tonnes gross weight.

Ability to work with and carry materials of an unpleasant nature

Successful applicants must be able to work from Eastcroft Depot, London Road, Nottingham NG2 3AH.

Your annual salary will be paid in arrears in 7 equal monthly instalments. Your annual salary will be within Band C (15,523 - 16,969 subject to pay award) plus enhancements for any unsociable hours and weekend working.

To assist and support the City Energy Manager to ensure that the City Council uses and purchases its energy and water resources in the most efficient manner. To assist and support Energy Services Directorate, in identifying, surveying, and recommending changes to the ways building operate, retro fitting new energy efficiency measures, and potential renewable energy options across the Councils corporate, investment portfolio, and as a sold service to commercial clients.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:

1. Experience of working in an energy management function and engaging with other building users / owners

2. Qualified Display Energy Certificate, and Non-Domestic Energy Performance Certificate assessor, or working towards the qualification

3. Knowledge, skills and experience in energy, carbon management, negotiation and provision of advice on all types of property.

4. Ability to analyse complex data, identify solutions, draw conclusions and communicate the decisions taken.

You will have responsibility for the development and management of Nottingham's Employment and Skills Strategy, working with a range of stakeholders across Economic Development and other local and national partner agencies.

You will manage complex projects and programmes that deliver economic growth to Nottingham and will bring fresh and innovative approaches to this agenda. You will develop strategies aimed at removing barriers to employment for all age groups and will work with partners to ensure their implementation.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:

  1. To be responsible for the development and programme management of the Graduate Retention and Employability in Schools strategies on behalf of the Council
  2. To analyse and interpret drivers for and the effect of national policy on the employment and skills agenda, providing detailed technical advice and recommendations to senior management based on analysis and experience in order to lead the development and delivery of strategic development plans and to inform future policy direction
  3. To develop innovative funding mechanisms for future activity with both the public and private sectors and to work with the Employment and Skills Strategy Manager to proactively secure funding to support employment and skills related activities and services across the city
  4. Using professional expertise of the employment and skills agenda, local economy and economic drivers to advise on best practice and provide guidance on complex and contentious issues

We are seeking to recruit a range of LGV Drivers to our Public Realm Operatives post to work collectively across different services in numerous LGV vehicles.

The role requires the successful applicants to hold a Class 2 LGV Driving License, and you will be required to drive a wide range of operational vehicles including waste collection vehicles, gritters and mainline sweepers.

You could be required to work flexible annualised hours equating to a full time working week of between 37 or up to 45 hours (working longer or shorter hours throughout different weeks) across numerous working patterns.

Your annual salary will be paid in arrears in 12 equal monthly instalments. Your annual salary will be within Band D (17,372 - 19,742 subject to pay award) plus enhancements for any unsociable hours and weekend working.

The post holder will contribute to the implementation of a Short Break Service for a child/ young person and his/her family, by offering direct support and care both in the young persons home (where appropriate) and their community.

To support Disabled Children and Young People with possible complex health and behavioural needs during evenings, weekends and school holidays.

To Safeguard and promote the welfare of the children and young people we support.

To work in partnership with professionals involved in the young persons circle of support.

To promote social inclusion by helping service users identify and achieve their goals.

Provide a range of community based groups/ sessions and promote access to a range of activities within the wider community.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

- Experience of working in partnership with families and other professionals.

- Experience of identifying and supporting others to deliver positive outcomes for children and young people.

- Experience of appropriately managing conflict

- Experience of supporting children and young people displaying complex challenging behaviour, relating to their disability or mental health needs
