Have your say about selective licensing in the Private Rented Sector!
Nottingham City Council is considering a new scheme to improve privately rented housing in the City. The introduction of a citywide licensing scheme for all private rented accommodation to drive up standards and protect tenants across the city is a key objective in the current Council Plan for 2015-2019.
Once we have developed a proposed scheme, we will be consulting formally. At this stage we want to find out what issues are faced by private landlords and tenants, explore what impact a scheme could have on the City and investigate what the scheme could look like.
We are holding two focus groups for private landlords in the City. The dates and times for these groups are:
Monday 20th June 2016
Thursday 30th June 2016
Both sessions will be held at Loxley House, Station Street, Nottingham, NG2 3NG
Refreshments will be provided.
To express an interest in taking part, please email firstname.lastname@example.org by 5pm on Friday 10th June, indicating which of the dates you wish to attend. In your reply please can you also indicate what area(s) of the City your properties are in and approximately how many properties you have (1-3, 4-10, over 10). This is so that we can select participants with varying sizes of property portfolios in various areas of the City.
Please note, due to restrictions with the room, unfortunately we will not be able to accommodate anyone who turns up speculatively on the day.
