Bupa Caring for Carers grants programme
The Bupa UK Foundation has launched Round Two of its grants programme to not-for-profit organisations in the UK. The theme of this second funding programme is Caring for Carers, and is now open to not-for-profit organisations, including social enterprises and community interest companies, based and operating within the UK.
The Foundation recognises that carers are often under significant pressure, with many finding that caring can take its toll on their own health. The Bupa UK Foundation is looking to fund practical projects that will help unpaid adult carers to support, manage and improve their own health on a day to day basis.
Small grants of up to 15,000, medium grants of between 15,000 and 50,000 and large grants exceeding 50,000 are available for practical projects or initiatives which will:

To be eligible, all projects must have a direct impact on people's health and wellbeing, be clearly for public benefit, take place within the UK and delivered within 1 to 2 years. The deadline for applications is 12 August 2016

Call for proposals to promote HEPA policy measures and actions for refugees
The Directorate-General for Education and Culture has launched a Call for Proposals to promote broader access to health-enhancing sport and physical activities for refugees. The Call will allow the testing of development of HEPA activities in at least six Member States particularly concerned by the massive arrival of refugees with at least six projects selected. Projects should involve local sport organisations and take into account gender equality and involve at least 100 refugees.
The Call intends to achieve several results, including the following:
Awareness-raising among refugees about the health and social benefits of practicing sport and physical activity.
The total budget earmarked for the co-financing of projects is estimated at 600.000. The maximum amount for each grant will be 60,000 to cover up to 80% of project costs.
Applicants must be a public or private organisation with legal personality, whose principal activity is in the field of sport and physical activity. All applicants must have their registered legal office in one of the 28 EU Member States. The deadline for applications is 9th Sept 2016

The GSK IMPACT Awards have been running since 1997 and this is our 20th awards programme. The awards are designed to recognise and reward charities that are doing excellent work to improve peoples health. They are funded by GlaxoSmithKline and managed in partnership with The Kings Fund with awards of up to 30,000 plus free training and development available.
The awards are open to registered charities that are at least three years old, working in a health-related field in the UK, with a total annual income of between 25,000 and 2 million. The deadline for applications is 21st Sept 2016
