To provide an effective and efficient 'scheduling' and 'routing' service of all confirmed care bookings, referrals and requests received from (Care Bureau Advisors, members of the public, commissioners, health/assessment colleagues, citizens and Adult Social Care Provision employees)

Ensuring that prescribed procedures are followed to ensure optimum use of 'in house' and 'volunteer' resources and value for money demonstrated in relation to all care services provided by Nottingham City Council and a selection of care provider/s.

Allocate (Dispatch) work to in house providers, volunteers and approved suppliers ensuring accuracy and confidentiality of data/information is maintained at all times; and verify that all care has been delivered prior to processing invoices through for payment.


1. Ability to search process and maintain manual and computerised records, including numerical calculations.

2. A good knowledge and understanding of Adult Social care services and partnership working with other key agencies (e.g. health, housing, voluntary sector).

3. Ability to plan and prioritise own and others workload to meet deadlines, in a fast moving environment without direct supervision.

4. Good IT competence for a variety of software packages, including accounts, E-mail, Word Processing & Spreadsheet skills

This vacancy is for 37 hours per week, with hours worked between 3pm and 11pm, Monday to Friday. Aspect House is easily accessible by public Transport.

Working within the legislative and statutory planning frameworks, Government Guidance and the Departments policies and procedures, the post holder will be one of a team of officers who act as an independent chairperson for inter-agency case meetings, in particular Reviews for Children Looked After and Child Protection Conferences. The post-holder will monitor professional practice and provide constructive challenge in order to ensure that the interests of children and young people in Nottingham City are safeguarded in accordance with statutory requirements.

Essential requirements:

Professional qualification in social work (DipSW, CQSW, CSS etc.).

Ability to model good social work practice and provide leadership in the context of case planning.

Evidence of action to promote equality of opportunity in service delivery and employment practice.
