Welcome to the latest International update from the Law Society.
We have a very busy September ahead of us with seminars in Istanbul and Beijing, while in London we are welcoming the junior lawyers for their international weekend, and we are also working with the Mexican Chamber of Commerce to provide an update on recent developments in Mexico.

International practice update
Part of QLTS exam to be delivered online and in overseas locations
From February 2016 the multiple choice test (MCT) will be available in the USA, Asia, India, and Europe.
QLTS: Armenia now recognised
Armenia has been added to the recognised jurisdictions list for the Qualified Lawyers Transfer Scheme (QLTS).

Opening of the legal year seminars, 30 September
The Law Society and the Bar Council of England and Wales will host two parallel seminars for international bar leaders and practitioners at the Law Society. The seminar will be followed by a networking lunch.
Law Society and British Expertise team up to deliver training on PPPs
The Law Society, in association with British Expertise, recently delivered training on public private partnerships in Madagascar, Mauritius, South Africa and Zimbabwe.

The Law Society is an official partner of the event, which provides a business platform for African governments and companies to present their investment projects to a diverse audience.
