Duty tender outcome - advice to firms on challenging the Legal Aid Agency decisions

The Law Society is advising members who lost out in the recent duty solicitor tender process that they must issue proceedings by Friday 23 October if they wish to preserve their right to be awarded a contract in the event of a successful challenge.

The Legal Aid Agency has indicated that it intends to enter into criminal legal aid duty contracts in the week commencing 26 October.
