30 March 2016

Welcome to the March International Update from the Law Society of England and Wales.

Nominations are now open for the Law Society's annual Excellence Awards, including a category for excellence in International Legal Services. This year we celebrate ten years of excellence, highlighting those who are shining lights in innovation and those developing new ways to help their clients. We want to hear about your approach to the delivery of legal services in today's international marketplace, and remember to submit your entry by 27 May.

We are also proud to be the exclusive strategic partner and host of the Business Council for Africa's annual debate and gala dinner. Join professionals from finance, law, technology and the energy sector to establish new African business partners, discover opportunities for partnerships and investment across a range of African markets.

Finally, don't forget to book your place for LAWASIA's foreign direct investment (FDI) in Asia forum in April, where leading lawyers from key Asian jurisdictions will discuss current FDI trends in the region.
