Our September newsletter features some of the main events taking place at the Law Society in the upcoming months. Our annual flagship conference International marketplace - on 6 October - includes delegations of leading law firms from Central Asia, Latin America and China.
Using the theme: 'Future growth', panellists will explore international legal markets, the impact of Brexit on legal services, and technology law.
On 3 October the Law Society, in partnership with the Bar Council, is organising two seminars in parallel with the Opening of the Legal Year, to discuss advancements in the legal market and the impact of technology on the legal profession.
Our analysis of the EU referendum and its impact on the legal profession is available on our Brexit webpage. We are planning a number of events on Brexit in the coming months including a seminar with the Business Council for Africa on 18 October and an event with the Inter-Pacific Bar Association on 13 October.
Building bridges with the Indian legal profession
Over the last two years the Law Society has had a number of meaningful exchanges with its Indian counterparts and both are working on a Memorandum of Understanding to explore closer collaboration.
