Central & Local Government Urls listed,
Over the weekend of 21-22 November the NAO is running Accountability Hack, a joint event with Parliament and the Office for National Statistics. The event will be launched on 21 November by Meg Hillier, Chair of the Public Accounts Committee, and is part of Parliament Week.
We ran a similar event last year when twenty teams of software developers spent the weekend using publically available data to build prototypes of new digital applications. This is the positive use of the word 'hack', i.e. building software quickly - not breaking into IT systems.
If you would like to attend either as a software developer; or come to the 'Show and tell' on the Sunday afternoon (15:00-17:00) when the teams explain what they have done you can sign up here. There is also a dedicated event website.
