“Take power now”. That's what Communities Minister Greg Clark told a conference of councillors last year.
But now he might be taking power away from local councils, and local people, by forcing fracking on them.
A recent leaked letter revealed that Ministers, including Greg Clark MP, want to force fracking on people – despite his previous promises around localism.
And it's already started. Despite Lancashire County Council rejecting fracking twice, the Secretary of State Greg Clark MP will now decide in a few weeks whether to overturn this decision.
But we can stop him. If enough council leaders object, especially from areas like yours where fracking is a local issue, he could face a rebellion from the very people he needs on board the most.
Ask your local council leader to stand up for the voices of local people and not let fracking be forced on communities that have said no.
For 5 years communities have kept Britain frack free with their successful local campaigns. Don't let Greg Clark change the rules of the game.
If we let Greg Clark force fracking on Lancashire, he could force it on any community.

Thank you for your support. Together we can keep Britain frack free.
