Spring clean special!

Having a post-bank holiday clearout?

We’re calling on all Oxfordshire residents to recycle their unwanted electrical items. And if you make a recycling pledge, you will be in with a chance to win!

Small household electrical items can be recycled at pink banks around the county. Your local council may also collect them from the kerbside, so check their website.
Tip-Top Late-Night Tip Tips

With the start of British Summer Time, our recycling centres are now open until 8pm on Thursdays, so it should be even easier to have a clearout. Unsure what you can chuck and what you can’t? Have a look at this list.
Pothole the Magic Dragon

A new weapon is being deployed in the battle against potholes on Oxfordshire’s roads! The ‘Dragon’ – so called because the fire breathing nozzle it uses to dry out potholes – is a mobile patching machine which has already fixed many hundreds of potholes and a multitude of other defects on the roads.

What's on around the county

Another week to go before the summer term. Running low on ideas? Here are a few suggestions!
Visit Faringdon Folly Tower and Woodland.

Why not check out Faringdon Folly Tower on Folly Hill, within a charming circular 4 acre woodland of splendid Scots Pine and broadleaf trees, some more than 200 years old.

Seek out the 24 black birds and giant willow pie, Cromwell’s cannon, the fairly useless bridge, Lord Berners in a tree(!) and a variety of birds and animal sculptures lurking among the trees. You might even see a troll, but, ‘please do not feed the giraffes’. Find out more
