The British Pharmacopeia (BP) is consulting on plans to omit monographs containing extemporaneous formulae that are not used in practice.
A number of monographs containing extemporaneous preparation information are currently published in the BP. It was agreed by the BP Expert Advisory Groups on Pharmacy (EAG PCY) and Unlicensed Medicines (EAG ULM) that stakeholders should be consulted on the issue.
