|Step forward for £32 million West Calder High School|
Plans to deliver a new £32 million West Calder High School have taken a huge step forward.
|New £3 million hub for East Calder|
|Work has started on a brand new £3 million partnership centre for East Calder.
Initial construction has started onsite to deliver a new modern, flexible building that will create a new hub for the village, just off Main Street, adjacent to the health centre.
It will include a multi-function hall, meeting rooms, library, council Customer Information Services (CIS) centre, changing rooms and offices, as well as accommodation to support groups involved in early years, play, out of school, youth work, and outdoor activities in the nearby park and pitches.
|Macmillan @ Bathgate Partnership Centre opens|
|A new Cancer Information and Support Service for people living with cancer and their families in West Lothian has opened in Simpson Library at Bathgate Partnership Centre.
The new service is available for anyone affected by cancer, including the person with a cancer diagnosis, family, friends and carers.
It is open on Mondays from 10am to 1pm and Thursdays from 6pm to 8pm. No appointment is necessary and visitors can drop in to use the service.

Southdale Primary School Update
|With only two months to go until the completion date in August, excellent progress has been made on the new Southdale Primary School in Armadale.
External superstructure brickwork has been completed and the roof works, fascia and flashings are also progressing well. The mechanical and electrical works are well underway as well as the dry lining and finish works being started.
The project will be constructed in phases, with the first phase including classrooms, GP rooms, nursery facilities, gym, dining and additional accommodation sized to suit more classes in order to futureproof the school.
|New Head Teacher at Our Lady of Lourdes Primary School|
|Eileen Brennan, Acting Head Teacher at Our Lady of Lourdes Primary School, Blackburn, has been confirmed as the new Head Teacher at the school.
Eileen, who is married and has three daughters, originally graduated from St Andrew's College of Education and also attended Stirling University.
