  Broxburn puplils cvolunteer at Romanian ophanage.   
     
 

Eleven S5 and S6 pupils from Broxburn Academy completed a week-long challenge of volunteering in Romania just before school broke up for the summer break. In preparation for the visit the young people were set a fundraising target of £10,400.

  Support for CB Technology
 
   
  Livingston based CB Technology was awarded £27,000 from the West Lothian Economic Growth fund to accelerate investment in its staff development plan. This covered such areas as specialist equipment training and best practice techniques, in order to meet the needs of both existing and new customers.

  Residents move into latest council homes
 
   
  Fourteen new council homes have been completed at Pumpherston.
The site at Pumpherston marks an important milestone for West Lothian Council's 1,000 new council homes project, as the site is the first of many sites to be completed. West Lothian Council is building new, affordable homes in each of the nine council ward areas.

  Three council staff members Brave the Shave
 
   
  Three local ladies have come together with a challenge to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support.The West Lothian Council staff members have recently agreed to participate in MacMillian's Brave the Shave and have volunteered to shave off all their hair in a bid to raise money for charity.

  Lease approved for Armadale Thistle ground
 
   
  Armadale Thistle have been granted a 30 year lease for their Volunteer Park ground. West Lothian Council Executive approved proposals to grant the lease in favour of the junior football club, who have played at the ground for over 130 years.

A Hayward Touring exhibition from the Southbank Centre, London.  Featuring 35 lithographic reproductions of the famous cut-outs that Henri Matisse produced in the last four years of his life.  It includes many of his iconic images, such as The Snail and the Blue Nudes.
